The name’s Strahan… Michael Strahan.

Best known for his killer NFL analysis and a Super Bowl-winning career with the New York Giants, the Fox Sports star is ready for a new role.

Strahan wants to be the next James Bond.

The search to find Daniel Craig’s successor has been ongoing since his final appearance in No Time to Die back in 2021, with plenty of Hollywood stars linked to the legendary role.

Bond also made big news over the weekend, as the Oscars aired a seven-minute musical tribute to the franchise featuring a number of its famous themes, after the rights to 007 were acquired by Amazon.

The likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill and James Norton are all said to be among the favorites to land the iconic part.

But in a recent interview with president and CEO of Amazon, Andy Jassy, Strahan threw his hat into the ring too.

During an appearance on Good Morning America last Thursday, Strahan and Jassy were discussing Amazon’s recent takeover of the Bond franchise when the executive asked the NFL legend for his opinion on who should be the next 007.

“You’re looking at him,” Strahan responded, without a second’s hesitation.

“I’m here.”

Jassy then asked if the Fox broadcaster was available and interested, to which he replied: ‘All of those things.’

Unsurprisingly, Strahan’s pitch divided fans.

“Holy s***. I’m in Mike. I’m in,” one person said.

“How’s Michael’s English accent?” another asked.

“Why not him? It would be cool,” a third suggested.

Others, however, argued the part needs to go to a British actor, or someone with more Hollywood experience.

Strahan’s comments about a crazy career change come amid uncertainty over the futures of other key Fox Sports personnel.

Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are no longer employed by the broadcaster, as neither of them had their contracts renewed once their deals expired following Super Bowl LIX.

Meanwhile, veteran broadcaster Jimmy Johnson, who has been part of the Fox Sports coverage for most of their 31-year history, announced his retirement on Monday.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame coach won two Super Bowls and a college national championship before transitioning to television.

“It has been 17 seasons of fun and laughs sitting next to you,” Strahan posted on X, responding to Johnson’s news.

“You’re truly one of a kind and thanks for being you and gifting me with one of the best friendships anyone could ever ask for.

“Hope you enjoy fishing and drinking beers on the boat. You deserve it, love you Coach!”
