Rey Mysterio was one of the many celebrities in attendance at UFC 306.
The WWE legend sat cageside for the ‘best sports event ever’ at the £2billion Las Vegas Sphere before heading backstage to thank Dana White for the invite.

Mysterio explained that he was wearing a custom UFC 306 – also known as Noche UFC – mask before taking it off and gifting it to the MMA mogul.
“Thank you for having me,” he said after embracing White.
“As a token of my appreciation, I had this mask made.
“I wore this tonight, and I wanted to give this to you.”
Mysterio then took off his mask, which was emblazoned with the words ‘UFC NOCHE’ – but the camera didn’t manage to catch a glimpse of his rarely-seen face.
The 49-year-old immediately slipped into another mask before wrapping up his conversation with the UFC boss, who was blown away by the thoughtful gift.
“I really appreciate it,” he said while shaking Mysterio’s hand, “I’m honoured.”
UFC and WWE fans loved seeing the cool interaction between the two men.
One posted on X: “Wow that’s really cool and a big deal for him to give.”
Another wrote: “Dana showing respect by not looking at Rey while he changes his mask.”

There will be more UFC-WWE collaborations in the coming years.
In April 2023, the two sporting powerhouses merged in a staggering deal worth £17.3billion, which saw a new company called TKO emerge.
It’s been trading on the New York Stock Exchange since last September – but there’s been little crossover between the UFC and WWE as of yet.
White and Mysterio meeting at UFC 306 could be just the start of cross-pollination between the two brands that are now intrinsically linked.
