The 2025 Royal Rumble will be a historic event this weekend as the first major WWE live show broadcast on Netflix.
The wrestling giant have teamed up with the leading American streaming service to usher in a new era of sports entertainment.
Earlier this month, Netflix entered the WWE world by screening RAW after three decades of airing on linear broadcast television.
The package was part of a mega $5billion deal to become the new home of all things wrestling – at least, for fans in the UK.
Netflix will be the new home of the red brand worldwide, but SmackDown and NXT have remained on their respective television networks in the US under separate contracts.
WWE‘s pay-per-view offerings have previously been available for their network subscribers, with UK fans able to fork out a one-time fee for each event to stream on TNT Sports.
Is the 2025 Royal Rumble on Netflix?
Yes, the 38th annual Rumble will be available to watch for Netflix subscribers at no additional cost – for UK users only.
WWE’s deal with TNT Sports ended after five years to facilitate their move to Netflix, which is now the only place in the UK to watch their premium live shows after the WWE Network was closed down.
Fans in the UK who already have a Netflix subscription can watch the action live while others can sign up for £4.99 or more here.
However, in the States, WWE still has a contract with streaming service Peacock until 2026 – which is where the Rumble will be shown.
Netflix currently offers a variety of plans for users, which include two standard packages – one with adverts – and a premium one.
All WWE live events on Netflix are included in all plans.

Royal Rumble 2025: What has been said?
Dominik Mysterio has revealed that the whole WWE roster are excited about the move to Netflix.
He said: “Morale is high.
“We’re all super excited to to be able to just be on Netflix, because a lot of a lot of us have families. I have family in Mexico. Judgment Day has family in Ireland and stuff because of Finn and JD.
“So, our families struggled to to be able to see us because they have to watch it on Fox Sports or I don’t know what they have to watch it on in Ireland, but it’s always different channels here and there.
“So the fact that you can just tune in whether it’s 8 PM or 5 PM West coast, East coast time, as long as you figure it out overseas and you have Netflix, you can watch it. So the fact that you can watch it all around the world at any point in time, even if you missed an episode last week, you can just go on there and click it and they have it all there.
“So that’s huge for us, we’re in over a hundred something million homes, right? So that’s insane. That’s a whole different viewership for us. We’re used to just people tuning in on USA and seeing Monday Night Raw.
“But now it’s like whoever clicks on Netflix, you’re going to see, whether it’s Cody Rhodes or Bianca [Belair] or Roman [Reigns], Liv [Liv Morgan], myself, like you’re going to see wrestling on there. It’s really cool to see because it’s going to catch your attention and people are going to click on to see Monday Night Raw.”
