Jake Paul lost his cool at his final press conference ahead of his upcoming clash with Mike Tyson.

Paul will square off against Tyson in a professional heavyweight clash at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday night.

The fight has been met with significant backlash from members of the boxing fraternity due to the staggering 31-year age gap between the pair.

Paul is 27 years old and in his physical prime while Tyson is 58 years old and 19 years removed from his last fight in the paid ranks.

Given the chips that are stacked against Tyson, most feel the result is a foregone conclusion and that Paul will win.

However, a number of fighters on the Paul vs Tyson undercard are picking experience to overcome youth.

Katie Taylor, Bruce Carrington, Mario Barrios and Neeraj Goyat all sided with Tyson when asked for their predictions at the post-fight press conference, prompting a furious response from Paul.

“I love it, I love it,” said Paul. “When I see dumb people saying dumb predictions I just feel bad for them.

“At the end of the day, who wants to bet on it? Huh?

“Does anyone want to bet on it? I’m shaking hands. So how much do we want to bet on this?”

Walking up to WBC welterweight champion Barrios first, he said: “You said Mike, how much do you want to bet on it? He said he’s good, that’s what I thought b*** made.

The next fighter he approached was Indian super-lightweight Goyat, who was much keener on the idea.

Taylor joked she’d bet her entire $6.1m purse on Tyson getting his hand raised

“How much? As much as you are willing to lose brother?” said Paul

Goyat replied: “Ok, so I’ll give you my property in India, my property is more than $1million. Deal.”

Carrington was also willing to put his money where his mouth is.

“How much are you willing to lose?” said the 2023 Ring Magazine Prospect of the Year.

Paul fired back: “The time I spend taking a s*** is how much you make in your whole life. Shut the f*** up. $1m, deal.”

It seemed as though Taylor had got off the hook but ‘The Problem Child’ eventually made his way over to the two-weight undisputed champion.

“I forgot Katie Taylor back here,” said Paul. “As much as you’ve got, I’m not losing.”

Taylor paused for a moment before responding with a wry smile: “Well, do you want to bet your purse?”

The pair then shook hands, before Paul declared: “I’m sending out contracts too.”

In the unlikely event Taylor chooses to make that bet official then she risks losing her entire purse, which is reportedly $6.1m – although the $40m pay off if Tyson beats Paul will no doubt be tempting.
