Never take your eyes off a game, Peter Schmeichel.
That was the directive from Jamie Carragher as the Liverpool icon pulled a cheeky prank on Schmeichel during CBS Sports’ Champions League coverage.

Schmeichel’s son, Kasper, was in action between the sticks for Celtic as they travelled to Italy for a Champions League clash against Atalanta.
The Hoops went into the match with one win and one loss from their opening European games while Atalanta looked to remain unbeaten.
Schmeichel senior was not in attendance to watch his son as he was on media duties for CBS elsewhere but tuned into Celtic’s match on his phone.
But during a brief cross with the main desk, Schmeichel took his eyes off his phone to talk down the camera.
Carragher decided it would be the opportune moment to pull a prank on the Manchester United great.
“Peter, Peter, 1-0 Atalanta,” Carragher said.
Upon hearing Carragher, Schmeichel’s eyes immediately returned to his phone, only to see the score was still 0-0.
“You are kidding me,” Schmeichel said.
“Is that right? Why do you do stuff like that?”
Carragher tried to justify his prank by leaning on a famous phrase from legendary Nottingham Forest manager Brian Clough.

“I just saw Peter that you’d actually stopped watching your phone,” Carragher said.
“You can never take your eyes off the game. It only takes a second to score a goal, as Brian Clough famously said.”
Schmeichel replied: “That’s very, very true, but how do you know I stopped?”
The Dane then gestured to put his phone out of shot below his waist.
Carragher cheekily clapped back: “You’re right, actually. I don’t normally watch your interviews.”
Despite Atalanta boasting 67 per cent of possession and firing off 22 shots, Celtic held out for an impressive 0-0 draw against last season’s Europa League winners.
Schmeichel played a role in keeping the clean sheet for Celtic as Atalanta became the second team since 2008 to have over 20 shots and 50 touches in the opposition box but fail to score.
