Wrexham are the current favourites to sign Jamie Vardy, who announced on Thursday he will be leaving Leicester after 13 years with the club.
The Foxes captain is currently priced at 2/1 to join the Welsh side, who look likely to gain promotion out of League One in the current campaign, which would see them join Leicester in the Championship next season.

After 496 appearances for Leicester since joining the side from non-league Fleetwood in 2012, Vardy has announced he will be leaving the club upon the expiration of his contract at the end of the current season.
The former England international was the last remaining member of the Foxes side that won the Premier League in 2016, and also won the FA Cup and Community Shield wearing the blue of Leicester, as well as winning two Championship titles.
The 38-year-old was awarded the Premier League’s Player of the Season award in 2016, won the Golden Boot in 2020 and was twice listed in the PFA’s Team of the Year.
Vardy will leave the club third in the list of both all time goals and appearances, currently just two goals shy of the 200 mark and four appearances short of 500 with five games of the season remaining.
Wrexham, the front runners in the race for Vardy’s signature, currently sit second in the League One table with a two point lead over third placed Wycombe with just two matches of the season remaining, meaning they could secure promotion this weekend.
None of Phil Parkinson’s side have scored more than eight goals across all competitions this season, and the club will need to reinforce in the summer to compete the with the high standard of Championship football, with a new striker likely to be high on the shopping list, particularly with joint-top scorer Steven Fletcher out of contract in the summer.

Another option for Vardy this summer could be to pack up his bags and head Stateside for the MLS.
The striker’s head could be turned by the different lifestyle across the pond and a move abroad would mean not facing the possibility of having to play against the club he’s called home for the last 13 years.
There is also talk of 26-time England international to move back into the Premier League with one of the newly promoted sides, with Leeds and Burnley priced at 12/1 and 16/1 respectively to sign the striker having both had their promotion to the top flight confirmed on Easter Monday.
A move back to Vardy’s hometown of Sheffield is also a possibility – the striker grew up in the Hillsborough area and is a life long Sheffield Wednesday fan, even representing their youth team as a child, and is priced at 16/1 to return to his boyhood side, with the same odds offered to a move the Sheffield United.
