Jhon Duran enjoyed a turbulent first half for Al Nassr in his side’s 3-1 win over Al Kholood on Friday night.

The striker was left red-faced during the opening five minutes as he joined in with Cristiano Ronaldo‘s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration.

But he couldn’t keep his balance as he tumbled towards the ground

However, the former Aston Villa star was able to put the incident behind him before the interval after getting in on the act himself.

Ronaldo had opened the scoring at home to Al Kholood after just four minutes.

The veteran forward reacting quickest after Duran‘s close-range effort had been blocked to stroke the ball into the far corner.

His strike is the 928th of his glittering career and takes his league tally for the season to 19 in 24 appearances.

After finding the net, Ronaldo pulled out his trademark celebration in front of the Al Nassr faithful.

As his teammates raced over to join him, Duran attempted to recreate the move by jumping in the air.

However, as he raised his hands, the Colombian tripped before almost falling to the turf himself.

The moment was captured by a supporter in the stadium, with footage soon leaving fans in hysterics on social media.

Reacting to the incident, one supporter wrote: “Jhon Duran almost fell tryna copy the Ronaldo Siu.”

The 21-year-old did not let his embarrassing trip impact his performance, though.

After Sadio Mane had doubled the hosts’ lead, Duran added a third shortly before half-time.

He collected the ball on the edge of the box before shifting it onto his left and drilling a low shot into the bottom corner.

The strike is his seventh in nine matches since completing a move from Villa in the summer.

Despite receiving a stoppage time red card against Al Ettifaq last month, Duran has established himself as a key man for Stefano Pioli’s side.

As well as five starts in the league, he also scored twice in their midweek AFC Champions League win over Esteghlal.

The 3-0 second leg victory booked Al Nassr’s place in the quarter-finals of the continental competiton.

Ronaldo and Duran are now through to the final stage of the tournament, which will take place in Jeddah at the end of April.

As for the league, Al Nassr’s latest victory has seen them reduce the gap to league leaders Al Ittihad to ten points with nine matches remaining.
