The unexpected incident left players, fans, and officials stunned, and concerned, for the longtime Knicks fan.

The break in play lasted over ten minutes. Eventually, the 56-year-old was escorted out of the arena in a wheelchair.

Morgan’s current condition remains unclear.

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden said they hope Morgan feels better soon, and they were looking forward to seeing him back in his courtside seat.

“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” the MSG spokesperson, who also speaks for the Knicks, said in response to the incident.

Social media was awash with positives messages for Morgan.

Actor and Knicks superfan Ben Stiller posted on X: “Sending good thoughts to Tracy Morgan [blue heart emoji]”.

Former NFL star Robert Griffin III shared: “Prayers up for Tracy Morgan [prayer emoji]

“Threw up courtside watching the Knicks and Heat play and then was taken off in a wheel chair.”

Knicks star Josh Hart, who finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the 116-95 Knicks win, was asked about the incident after the game.

“We hope everything’s good with Tracy Morgan,” Hart told reporters. “Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”

It is unknown whether Morgan’s medical incident was related to any past health issues or not.

In 2014, the former Saturday Night Live cast member and 30 Rock star was involved in a devastating car crash which killed actor and comedian James McNair, known on stage as Jimmy Mack.

Morgan suffered life-threatening injuries in the wreck and was in a coma for two weeks. He later said he suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Morgan also underwent a kidney transplant in 2010.

Earlier this month, NBC announced Morgan was returning to the network to star in a yet-to-be-titled comedy pilot.

He is set to play a disgraced former football player looking to remake his image, opposite Daniel Radcliffe.
