Jude Bellingham has had his say on his brother Jobe’s stunning strike in Sunderland’s 2-0 win over Derby.
The 19-year-old opened the scoring on 40 minutes when he rifled in a fierce 25-yard strike, before Wilson Isidor doubled the Black Cats’ lead in the second half to secure the three points.

Victory saw Sunderland return to the Championship summit, but it was the younger Bellingham sibling‘s moment of magic that stole the headlines.
The incredible effort drew plenty of praise online, with some labelling it a goal of the season contender, while others joked that the club had ‘bought the wrong Bellingham’.
And there was a famous name among the many admirers of the strike, as older brother Jude took to social media to voice his approval.
Reacting to Jobe’s first goal of the season, the Real Madrid superstar retweeted a video of the goal, and commented with three emojis blowing a puff of air.
He then reiterated his pride on Instagram, sharing a picture of his sibling celebrating the strike uploaded on Sunderland’s official page.
Alongside this, he wrote: “Boy is different,” followed by a rocket emoji.
And it quickly became a family affair on social media, as Jobe then joined in on the post-match celebrations by sharing a picture of the pair’s mother Denise.
With Denise having relocated to Madrid to support Jude following his move to Spanish capital, her younger son labelled her presence at the Stadium of Light a good-luck charm.
Underneath the snap of the proud parent, he wrote: “Mumzy brought some luck.”
Jobe clearly appreciated his mother’s attendance in the stands, having previously joked about her living in Spain to lend a helping hand to his brother, whilst their father Mark has remained in England.

In a video on Jude’s newly-launched YouTube channel, the young midfielder poked fun at the family’s living arrangements.
Taking aim at his older sibling, Jobe said: “Maybe if Jude could learn how to cook and drive then mum could come back and live with me but no, he’s useless, so I’ll just have to make do won’t I?”
And while Denise helped Jude make a seamless transition to life at the Spanish giants after a stunning debut season, Jobe has began to make a name for himself in the English second tier.
The England Under-20 international has played every minute of Sunderland’s opening eight league games, helping his side to top spot in the table with six wins and two draws.
His rasping effort against Derby to open his account for the campaign sees him build on his impressive first year on Wearside.
Jobe hit the ground running after joining the Black Cats from Birmingham City in a £3million deal whilst still 17, scoring 7 goals from midfield in 45 appearances in the 2023/24 season.
With Jude in Champions League action tonight as Real take on Lille, the younger Bellingham sibling will be hoping his brother can take inspiration from him as he looks to boost his side’s chances of a second consecutive European triumph.
