Kampala Queen secure sponsorship deal worth UGX 200M

FUFA Women Super League outfit Kampala Queens FC have on Tuesday unveiled a sponsorship agreement with Jonard Conglomerate Investments Limited.

The deal worth 200 million shillings will run for two years and was revealed in a function held at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga, Kampala.

“Kampala Queens Football Club is thrilled to announce a two-year partnership with Jonard Conglomerate Investments Limited as the club’s official partner. The collaboration, which runs until 2026, is valued at UGX 200 million, with Jonard Conglomerate committing UGX 100 million each year.” Reads a statement from the club.

At the same event, the club also unveiled their new jersey that they will use in the 2024/25 season.

As part of this agreement, Jonard Conglomerate Investments Limited becomes the exclusive shirt sponsors for Kampala Queens FC.

Jonard Asiimwe, the President of Jonard Conglomerate Investments limited indicated the marriage with Kampala Queens underscores their commitment towards supporting sports.

“Our commitment towards promoting sports and football in this country is well known because we have a number of other teams we work with. I believe this partnership with Kampala Queens was timely and will bear fruits because we share similar aspirations,” he said.

Meddy Ssengendo, the CEO of Kampala Queens was proud of the journey the club has moved this far and believes the future is even brighter.

“From the time we started out in 2016, you see that our progress has been steady and we can only get better. Today’s event marks a big milestone in our journey and we hope it will motivate us to even get stronger.” He stated.

Patrick Ntege, a club executive committee member was proud that the platform (club) they set up to promote women football is getting better.

“Our patron Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim started this club to serve as a platform to help women through football earn a living and education. I’m glad that we have now reached a level of attracting sponsorship.”

The landmark event portrayed how women’s football has grown since the inception of the League in 2015.

Kampala Queens FC become the second FUFA Women Super League club that has sponsors, joining Kawempe Muslim that has Crystal Mineral Water.

The Queens of Soccer are currently second on the table after two games with four points.
