FUFA Women Super League outfit Kampala Queens FC have on Monday confirmed the signing of midfielder Shamusa Najjuma.
The versatile player who can ably play both as a midfielder and forward has joined the Queens of Soccer on a two-year deal.
“We are thrilled to announce the signing of Shamusa Najjuma from Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC on a 2-year contract deal. Shamusa’s skills and experience will undoubtedly make a significant impact, and we can’t wait to see her in action.” Reads a statement from the club website.
Najjuma has been a key player for Uganda Martyrs over the last few years.
She joins Kampala Queens to bolster the squad and provide options with several key players leaving namely Shakirah Mutiibwa, Damalie Matama, Zaina Namuleme, Lillian Mutuuzo, Rukia Namubiru and Patricia Akiror among others
Najjuma becomes the fifth signing for Kampala Queens joining Peace Muduwa, Sumaya Namulondo, Miriam Nakayiwa and Shakirah Nankwanga.
Kampala Queens will start the new season at home to Wakiso Hill WFC on 27th September 2024.
