
Kampala City is set to host the East African Local Authorities Cultural Association (EALASCA) Games at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
In a display of regional unity, five nations namely Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Burundi will compete in the event, which aims to strengthen the region’s bond through sports and culture.
The highly anticipated games will take place from February 23-28, bringing together participants in various disciplines, including football, netball, volleyball, basketball, and indoor games such as chess, draughts, pool, scrabble, and darts.

“Sports is good for the youth. We appreciate the stadium management’s gesture and the efforts put into making this event a success,” said Sharifah Buzeki, the KCCA Executive Director.
This marks the third time Kampala will be hosting the EALASCA Games, providing a platform for the region to experience the city’s renowned hospitality and commitment to regional cooperation.
