Twice, the forwarded rose highest to score from headers off well weighted corner kicks from Said Mayanja – first in the second minute and later in the seventh minute.

The hosts pulled a goal back within the last quarter of the game when they were awarded a penalty but the Kasasiro held on as the search for a record extending 11th Uganda Cup continues.

In Kasese, Moses Aliro second half penalty after being fouled in the area was enough to see URA eliminate local side Mabira TC 1-0 in a closely contested tie.

The shock of the day was at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo where UPL side NEC were eliminated by Fufa Big League side Blacks Power 2-0.

Innocent Maduka and Joshua Omara scored the goals in the second half to punish the hosts who failed to take a lead despite winning a penalty earlier on.

It went in sending the goalkeeper the wrong way but the referee was at the right spot with not much complaints from the hosts.
