Over 100 golfers were engaged in the successful MTN monthly tee for September 2024 at the par-71 lake side Entebbe club.
Action commenced as early as 7 am until late evening across the various divisions (groups).
Playing off handicap 12, Saidi Kirarira emerged as the overall winner with 62 nett.
Group performers:
In the men Group A,Richard Oloka (Handicap 8) was was outstanding with 71 nett ahead of Peter Apell (Handicap 8) who scored 75 nett (on countback).
Group B:
Nicholas Kebba (Handicap 16) won pool B with 69 Nett as Bank of Uganda’s Twinemanzi Tumubweine (Handicap 11) returned 71 Nett
Group C:
Richard Mugisha (Handicap 28) won group C men with 64 Nett, three strokes better than Mathias Kalule (Handicap 25) – 67 Nett.

Ladies:
Aspiring Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Jovia Tugume topped the group A ladies with 68 nett, playing off handicap 18.
“Today was a perfect round. Everything I did worked out and I want to maintain this performance. I thank MTN Uganda for the sponsorship of the monthly tee tournament” Tugume remarked.
Bridget Basiima (Handicap 14) was runners up in group A with 71 Nett
Group B:
Diana Nabukenya (Handicap 19) bossed group B ladies with 68 Nett, winning on countback over Pamela Tumusiime (Handicap 26).

The guest winner was James Okema (Handicap 20) who scored 72 Nett.
The seniors’ category (55 years and above) was Charles Kabunga (handicap 22) with 71 nett.
Next month (October 2024) shall witness the official opening of the Entebbe club half way house (pod).
