
Kitara FC kept their reusrgency moving after defeating Soltilo Bright Stars FC 2-0 on Monday at the Royal Park in Butema, Hoima City.
Goals from Living Kabon and Patrick Kaddu ensured the Royals sailed to victory thus keeping their return to the rails perfect.
Kabon tapped home from close range when George Ssenkaba headed Frank Tumwesigye’s corner kick into his path.
Substitutes Patrick Kaddu and Johm Byaruhanga who came on in the 65th minute combined to get the second goal for the hosts.
Byaruhanga did the donkey work on the right wing before delivering a cross into the are and Kaddu was able to score on the turn with a half volley with a minute to play.
Kitara FC who had a torrid start to the season have now had a change of fortunes since the arrival of coach Wasswa Bossa.
The Royals have now gone nine games unbeaten, keeping clean sheets in all of them since 1st November 2024 when they lost 1-0 to Soltilo Bright Stars FC.
Today’s result takes them to fifth place on 25 points while Soltilo Bright Stars remain second from bottom on 11 points.
In the other game played on Monday, UPDF FC edged Mbarara City FC at Kakyeka Stadium courtesy of a Martin Owalamu own goal.
