Kitara FC moved out of the relegation zone following a convincing win against hapless Mbale Heroes FC on Friday.

In the game played at Royal Park, Butema in Hoima, Kitara FC earned a 4-0 win, their biggest victory this season.

Goals from Fred Amaku (brace), George Ssenkaaba and second half substitutes Jude Ssemugabi (brace) and Marvin Nyanzi guided the Royals to victory.

The ascendency for Kitara under new coach Wasswa Bbosa continues and the team is slowly regaining its veneration.

After a horrible start to the season, Kitara FC have now started to find their footing, picking seven points from the possible nine in the last three games. They routed UPDF FC 4-0 before earning a priceless away point in the goalless draw at Vipers SC.

Today, the Royals had a comfortable start and took the lead through Fred Amaku’s penalty in the 26th minute before Ssenkaba doubled the advantage two minutes before the break.

Ssemugabi who replaced Ssenkaaba at the start of the second half scored with his first touch to stretch the lead.

Amaku completed his brace midway through the second half before he was withdrawn while Nyanzi got his first for the club in the 75th minute before Ssemugabi put the icing on the cake with his second of the day coming in the 87th minute.

The results lifts Kitara out of the relegation zone for the first time in a long time. The Royals are now 13th with 11 points while Mbale Heroes remain second from bottom on 8 points.
