Kitara struggles continued with yet another defeat as they fell to hosts URA 2-0 at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Friday.
Forwards Shariph Kimbowa and Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored in the last five minutes of the first half to give the tax collectors their first home win condemning Kitara to their fifth defeat in seven matches.
Kimbowa tapped home from close range after good work by Joseph Ssemujju in the 40th minute while Ahimbisibwe converted a penalty in additional time after he was fouled by Crispus Kusima.
In the end, Kitara who had Wasswa Bbosa start reign after the sacking of Brian Ssenyondo was left to rue missed chances in the first half and stay in the red zone with only four points.
URA meanwhile climbed to 5th place with 11 points, same as SC Villa who sit 4th, six points behind leaders KCCA.
Their next game is a trip to struggling Maroons on Saturday November 9 while a day before, Kitara visit winless Bright Stars at Kavumba.
