Veteran tactician George “Best” Nsimbe has tendered in his resignation note as head coach of FUFA Big League entity Kiyinda Boys Football Club.
The news has been confirmed by the club via their official website.
“While we are sad to him (Nsimbe) go, we understand and accept his resignation. The club has started the process of identifying a permanent replacement. We thank coach Best for his commitment to the club and achievement since joining us last year. We have great respect for the dedication and commitment he showed to our club and recognize the role he has played in the growth and development of the boys. We all wish him the very best for the future” the club confirmed.
Nsiimbe has been with Kiyinda Boys since the 2023. This term, Kiyinda Boys has been inconsistent with 2 victories, 3 draws and 2 losses in 7 games played.
The experienced has been working alongside Ayub Kizza and Derrick Kasumba (goalkeeping coach).
Nsimbe’s playing days witnessed him play for Kampala Capital City (now KCCA), NIC, Red Cross, Wandegeya and the Uganda Cranes.
As a coach, he has previously worked at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Express, Vipers, Maroons, Victors, Kyetume, Tusker (Kenya) and Azam (Tanzania).
The search for the new head coach is already underway as the management of Kiyinda Boys Football Club is expected to make communication to that effect.
Kiyinda Boys will not be in action on match day 7 this week but will return to action on 24th November 2024 with an away contest against Kataka at the Mbale City Stadium.
