Lamine Yamal gets better with every game and the hype around the wonderkid shows no sign of slowing down.

The Barcelona sensation might have ended up on the losing team for the first time this season as they were defeated 4-2 by Osasuna, but the 17-year-old still scored another stunning goal.

That means he’s got five goals and five assists in in nine games this campaign, the same amount as he managed in 37 league matches last term.

It sees him carry on the sensational form he showcased to the world as Spain beat England in the Euro 2024 final in Germany.

There, over the tournament, he managed one goal and four assists, in a stellar breakout showing.

It means Yamal is one of the most sought-after players when it comes to trading cards too.

In the hobby, the Spaniard is in his first season of being a collectible and fans around the world are desperately hunting for his valuable ‘rookie’ cards.

And one father and son are now $122,000 richer after finding a 1/1 autographed Yamal card while on holiday in America.

The duo were in Orlando, Florida and decided to pick up a box of Topps Chrome.

And while they will have been hoping for a big name pull from one of the pack, getting their hands on the superfractor wouldn’t even have been in their wildest dreams.

Father Chris told Goldin auction on Instagram: “We were on holiday in Orlando and we started collecting cards about three months ago.

“I went out to get a jumbo box from a hobby shop and we got back to the villa and we opened the box.

The autographed card will go down in history – just as the player seems set toInstagram – jakesbreaksuk

“Sure enough, Jake shouted, ‘Dad, we got a one of one’. I didn’t believe him – and there it was.”

Some might have kept hold of the card but in the end they consigned it to Goldin auctions while at a card show in Germany.

The bidding process is now over and they have netted themselves a huge payday.

The $122,000 (£91,242) will certainly help fund a few more hobby boxes in the near future.

Their’s wasn’t the only card to sell for a huge figure either with an incredible Lionel Messi item from the recent Topps Dynasty set going for $103,000 (£77,032).

So get down to your local card shop – you never know what card you might pull next.
