Leeds can climb back to the top of the Championship table tonight with victory over a play-off chasing Bristol City side in their penultimate match of the campaign as they chase the league title.

Daniel Farke’s side secured promotion back to the Premier League at the second time of asking last week, but the fight for the title goes on with Burnley currently three points above the Yorkshire side following their victory on Saturday lunchtime.

Leeds head into tonight’s game having won their last four matches, and are also unbeaten in their last eight in all competitions while having lost just once in the league since November.

The Yorkshire side boast by far the best home record in the second tier this season, picking up at least seven more points than any other side in front of their home fans, having fallen to just one defeat and winning 17 of their 22 outings ahead of tonight’s final game of the season at Elland Road.

Bristol City make the daunting trip to take on the Whites tonight with a lot to play for themselves, needing only three points from their final two matches to guarantee themselves a play-off spot for the first time since their promotion from League One 10 years ago.

Liam Manning’s side remain in fifth place following the weekend’s results, a point ahead of the the chasing pack, with only three points currently separating fifth from ninth ahead of tonight’s bout.

The Robins had lost just one of their last 12 matches prior to their 3-1 defeat at Luton on Easter Monday, a result they will be desperate to recover from tonight in a bid to maintain form heading into what they hope will be the play-offs and a first season in the top flight in 46 years.

The West Country side have struggled away from home through the campaign, winning just once on the road in any competition since early November, a run spanning 14 matches and with only two points on their travels from their last four games.

Leeds will be well up for the fight tonight for their final game in front of their home fans this season as they hunt a Championship title for the first time in five years, while Bristol City may have to rely on their final game against Preston on Saturday to book their top six spot – a 2-0 home win tonight seems more than a possibility.
