Southampton have lost their last three league games against Leicester – they’ve never lost four in a row against the Foxes before.

The Foxes have lost their last nine Premier League home games by an aggregate score of 22-0, only one team has gone ten games in a row before and that was Wolves in the 80’s.

It’s a shocking home form but it’s one that also strikes a chord with Southampton who sit rock bottom of the league by seven points.

The Foxes have only picked up a point in six games while Southampton have made up just two points.

Southampton’s 80 goals conceded this season is their most in a single league campaign since 1971-72 where they also conceded 80.

Both sides have a chance to finish off at least one of their last Premier League games with a win and that looks likely to be Leicester.

Both sides have put in some close efforts recently though, with the Saints just missing out on a draw against Wolves, a 1-1 draw to Palace and another close 2-1 defeat.

Leicester held Brighton to a 2-2 draw as they broke their long goalless run in a staggering 13 hours.

They’ve not scored since though but did come up against in-form Liverpool and Wolves in succession.

This could be a high scoring affair given how both sides have conceded a huge 156 goals between them.

Despite the two sides not scoring often they easily can when they face each other as they did in the reverse fixture when Leicester won 3-2.

Even before this in the Championship there’s often plenty of goals between them.

Leicester won 5-0 in the Championship last year along with a 4-1 victory at St Mary’s given the Foxes a 12-3 aggregate score in the last three games alone.
