Messi penned a two-and-a-half year deal with David Beckham’s Inter Miami in 2023 to become the league’s most high profile recruit since the former England captain’s arrival in 2007.

The Argentine quickly shrugged off his dismal spell at Paris Saint-Germain by quickly turning around Miami’s fortunes.

It culminated in their franchise’s first ever trophy win – the Leagues Cup success in August 2023.

Messi has steered Inter Miami to the top of the standings and are favourites to lift the MLS Cup for the first time in their history.

While things are going swimmingly on the pitch, it appears that life is blissful away from football for Antonela and her family.

The social media personality lifted the lid on the welcome her family received upon arriving in Miami and concedes that Beckham was right about life in the vibrant city.

Beckham previously spoke about the main motivation for Messi joining Inter Miami was his family.

He said: “All he was interested in is a place where his family could come enjoy and have a great life. That was really important for Leo.”

Roccuzzo told Haute Living: “What I love the most about Miami is the climate, the people, and the landscape – all this makes you feel like you’re living in perpetual summer.”

“The biggest surprise for us was the warm welcome we received when we arrived. We knew it would be special, but it exceeded all our expectations.

Asked about the transition from living in Europe to the United States, Antonela said: “It has actually been very easy, and we’re all happy about it. Our main concern was that the kids might not like it or adjust well, but from day one, they adapted very well.

“My daily life is quite normal. We wake up early, take the kids to school, and then I head to the gym or try to engage in some physical activity. The rest of the morning and day is dedicated to work.

“If I have any meetings, events, or work commitments, I try to schedule them while the kids are at school. In the afternoon, I focus on spending time with them. We attend their extracurricular activities, have an early dinner, and then it’s bedtime.”

“We love being able to enjoy outdoor activities (when it’s not too hot), to spend the day at the beach or to do an “asado” at home with friends. If we can, we also enjoy getaways to Orlando to visit Disney or Universal and have fun with the kids.

Antonela became a recognisable face for football fans and was thrust into the limelight at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar when Messi led Argentina to a thrilling final win over France.

The 36-year-old has been through an assortment of emotions during her husband’s football career and revealed how she manages to consume such knife-edged situations.

“Those moments are filled with nerves, but the most beautiful part is that we experience those things all together as a family, and my children can make great memories. Having lived through these moments from day one makes them unforgettable.”
