Liverpool will host West Ham at Anfield in the early live TV kick off on Sunday. The Reds will be looking to settle nerves with a confidence boosting win after last weekend’s setback against Fulham.
West Ham could be the perfect opponents for Slot’s edgy team. The Hammers are four matches without a win in the Premier League.

Liverpool vs West Ham United predictions
It seems silly to suggest Liverpool are in any danger of not winning the league after only their second loss of the season, but with the finishing line in sight, the Reds don’t want to make life any more difficult than it needs to be.
Liverpool started the match week with an 11-point lead at the top of the table. They have 73 points from 31 matches. Regardless of what Arsenal do, the title is still only Liverpool’s to lose.
Last weekend’s defeat to Fulham was their first on the road. It took until April to lose away from Anfield. That is remarkable. So make no mistake, this has been an outstanding season for Arne Slot and his team.
But the manner of the defeat, coupled with the edgy performance against Everton in the Merseyside Derby, suggests that the Reds are starting to feel the pressure.
Furthermore, Liverpool have only won one of their last four in all competitions.
The beginning of April should be the worst time of the season to be hit by a run of poor form. But luckily for Liverpool, such is the size of the safety net they built when playing well, they will get over the line regardless.
West Ham sit in the bottom half of the table with 35 points from 31 matches. Graham Potter has steadied things down a bit since he took over, but the reality is, West Ham have still been inconsistent.
That’s not a judgement on Potter. He has a free hit for the remainder of this season. But he certainly hasn’t performed any miracles in his opening few weeks in charge at the London Stadium.
The Hammers are four without a win. Their last three points came in a 2-0 victory over Leicester on Matchday 27. They have since lost two and drawn two, with the most recent result a 2-2 stalemate with Bournemouth last Saturday.
In true West Ham style, they went behind to a 38th-minute goal from Evanilson. The Hammers then went 2-1 up with goals from Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen.
But with the finishing line in sight, Evanilson levelled the match with his second on 79 minutes.

Liverpool vs West Ham United betting tips
Liverpool needs calm heads. It’s time for the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah to step up and get the team back on track. Inconsistent West Ham look like the ideal opponents for Liverpool in their current situation. Our match betting tips follow:
Liverpool to win or draw and BTTS
Liverpool have been a bit shaky in recent weeks. It will come as little surprise to see them concede against West Ham at Anfield.
Even if the Reds are on edge and don’t get the win, it’s hard to see them losing. With this in mind, we’re looking at the Double Chance and BTTS market with Betfred.

Liverpool to win or draw and yes in both teams to score is even money. Liverpool to win and BTTS is 13/8. If you’re confident of a Liverpool win, that is the better value bet.
We’re taking out the insurance policy of adding the draw to our wager.
Tip – Back Liverpool to win or draw and both teams to score at 1/1 with Betfred
Luis Diaz to score or assist
Luis Diaz has been working tirelessly for Liverpool in recent weeks. He is one player that has certainly been doing his utmost to get Liverpool over the line.
Overall this season, Diaz has ten goals and seven assists in his 30 Premier League matches.
He was on the scoresheet against Fulham last Sunday, and he provided assists in Liverpool’s previous three Premier League matches.
Tip – Back Luis Diaz to score or assist at 4/5 with Copybet
Alexis Mac Allister to score or be shown a card
Similar to Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister has been one of Liverpool’s most consistent performers over the past few weeks.
With two goals in his last four matches, the Argentine has the same amount of goals as Mohamed Salah does over that same period.
Mac Allister is doing his best to steer the Liverpool ship through its current choppy waters. Arne Slot can bank on him to be involved in something, whether that be scoring, or picking up a yellow for the team.
Tip – Back Alexis Mac Allister to score or be shown a card at 11/5 with Paddy Power
