Lugazi FC suffered their first defeat under coach Steven Bogere since his appointment in October 2024.
The Leaders had gone eight games unbeaten until Thursday when they lost 1-0 to URA FC at Nakivubo Stadium.
In a game that pitted two blood brothers Alex Isabirye and Bogere in opposite dugouts, Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored the lone goal.
The lethal striker who has enjoyed fine form this season, fired home in the 24th minute to take his tally to nine atop of the scoring charts.
Ahimbisibwe made a good run before Joseph Ssemujju shrugged off two Lugazi FC players to tee up the former who controlled before tucking the ball past goalkeeper Fahad Emuran.
In a season where URA FC have failed to find consistency, the Tax Collectors closed down shop on Lugazi FC, a team that has come from a goal down in their last three outings.
The home side were able to defend resiliently and claim victory, the first time they are getting back to back wins this campaign. It should be noted that they defeated Express FC last week.
The result takes URA FC to fourth place on 21 points while Lugazi FC remain 12th on 13 points.
