Lugazi vs NEC – Najjembe 4pm
Police vs Mbale Heroes – Kavumba 4pm
Lugazi are mentally ready to face and stop high flying NEC who they host at Najjembe on Wednesday.
The league’s new entrants come into the game on the back of a morale boasting win over traditional giants Express FC with female coach Oliver Mbekeka in charge then.
“We have worked mainly on the mental aspect of the players,” Mbekeka told reporters. “How we behave with or without the ball has been our main task and we believe we can stop NEC despite them being top right now,” she added.
NEC comes into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Wakiso Giants and Hussein Mbalangu believes they can still go away to maintain same.
“Beating Wakiso Giants gave us more belief because it is one of the teams we didn’t beat last season and we dropped five points in encounters against them,” said Mbalangu.
A win will see NEC reclaim top spot from seven-time champions while Lugazi could jump into the top half of the table with victory.
