He takes on Rob Cross in his opening march of the night as he looked to once again move beyond the quarter-finals.
It was the second leg of the contest and ‘Cool Hand’ was flying pinning two maximums.
The world No.1 has often spoken about his desire to pin the perfect leg on a big TV stage after a dry spell.
But he sent a treble 20, treble 19 and the famous double 12 to send the crowd into raptures.
He ran off to the side of the stage, with his arms in the air as if he was Jude Bellingham.
Before he pumped his fist wildly and saluted the crowd, who were in utter delerium.
When returning to the oche, he shared a warm embrace with opponent Rob Cross, who applauded the perfection.
It was his first ever nine-dart leg in the Premier League format, yet another personal milestone for the modern-era great.
It was the 17th nine-darter in the competition’s overall history.
But unfortunately it wasn’t enough in the match as he succumbed to a stunning 6-4 defeat.

Humphries performance unfortunately dipped off in the match, averaging 98 by the time Cross pinned his final double.
‘Voltage’ was in absolutely sensational form and was firing at a vintage level, well above Humphries by posting a 111.19 average.
Despite losing the match, he maintains his lead at the top of the Premier League standings, with huge hope he will still comfortably reach the play-offs in London in May.
More importantly, the current PDC leader will be pleased to have finally had the jubilation of a perfect leg after a self-proclaimed drought.
It has been a hugely successful year for Humphries however, who did reach perfection against Stephen Bunting in an exhibition in Germany this January.
His last perfect leg on a televised format came last May against the exact same opponent in Cross, when he shared equally jubilant scenes at the Baltic Sea Darts Open.
