In doing so, the 17-year-old became the youngest world champion in darts history.

He also scooped £500,000 in prize money to climb up to second in the PDC Order of Merit.

Littler has since taken to social media to celebrate his triumph, sharing a wholesome throwback snap to Instagram.

Alongside a picture of himself holding the Sid Waddell trophy at Ally Pally, Littler attached a photo from his childhood.

Stood next to a dartboard after hitting the bullseye, a young Littler can be seen smiling as he celebrates the feat.

In the caption, the Nuke wrote: “Journey’s been pretty good so far. Looking forward to what the rest of 2025 has in store.”

Littler could be set for a hectic start to the year following his world title triumph.

He is set to be named in the Premier League Darts line-up on Monday when the eight-player field is announced.

The teenager won the title on debut last year to become the event’s youngest ever champion.

Meanwhile, he could add another Major to his trophy cabinet at the World Masters in Milton Keynes later this month.

Littler will have turned 18 by the time the tournament begins, though, with his birthday on January 21.

For now, though, he is continuing his celebrations from Friday night in London.

After returning home, the youngster posed in bed with the trophy as he recreated an iconic Lionel Messi photo.

He has also revealed former England captain David Beckham sent him a congratulatory message on social media.

It comes after Wayne Rooney also hailed Littler’s achievement in a post of his own following the final against Van Gerwen.
