Man City vs Fulham predictions
Manchester City have dropped four points in their last two Premier League outings and now sit second in the table on goal difference.
The Light Blues needed a last gasp equaliser from John Stones to save a point in their home fixture against title rivals Arsenal. And then away at Newcastle United last Saturday, City were held to a 1-1 draw by Eddie Howe’s team.
Neither result can be regarded as a disaster. Arsenal are championship contenders, and Newcastle are very hard to beat at St. James’ Park.
But after dropping points, City do need to get their Premier League campaign back on track.
Liverpool has made a strong start under their new boss Arne Slott. We already know Arsenal look to be in it for the long haul. And Chelsea have also made an impressive start to the season under another of Pep’s disciples, Enzo Maresca.
City can’t afford too many more slips. And they know it.
They warmed up for Fulham with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and James McAtee sealed a one-sided road trip victory, City’s first in this season’s edition.
Attention now turns to Saturday, where anything but a win will be regarded as a failure for the Cityzens.
Standing in City’s way is Fulham.
The Cottagers have had a decent start to their 2024/25 season. They sit 6th in the Premier League on 11 points.
A win for Marco Silva’s team on Saturday sees them go level on points with City.
Fulham has won their last two matches in the Premier League. Last Saturday’s impressive 1-0 win away at Nottingham Forest backed up their 3-1 home win over Newcastle the previous weekend.
Raul Jimenez has started the season impressively with three goals in three starts (and three substitute appearances).
Along with the former Wolves man, Emile Smith Rowe has settled in beautifully after his summer transfer. The former Arsenal man has already contributed two goals and one assist in the Premier League for his new club.
Fulham are now five unbeaten in the Premier League.
Their only defeat of the season came away against Manchester United in their first match of the campaign.
All jokes about losing to United aside, that’s an impressive run by Marco Silva’s team. Sadly for them, they are likely to taste defeat in Manchester for the second time this season on Saturday.
Albeit, an understandable one this time around.

Man City vs Fulham betting tips
Manchester City don’t often go too long in the league without a win. Especially at home.
A home match against Fulham should be the perfect tonic for Pep and his team to finish with a win ahead of the latest international break.
City are just 1/5 to defeat Fulham in 90 minutes betting. If that’s too short to wager on, check out our alternative City vs Fulham betting tips instead:
Both teams to score and City to win
It’s pretty much a given that Manchester City will find the net at the Etihad.
On the flip side, City has only kept one clean sheet in the Premier League this season. And you have to go back to their visit to Stamford Bridge on the opening weekend of the term for that.

Fulham has started the season well. In the Premier League they’ve only failed to find the back of the net once. That was against Manchester United. Also on the opening weekend of the season.
Both teams to score is 17/20. Throw a City win into the mix, and the bet is 6/4. That’s far better value than backing a City win, or BTTS on its own.
Both teams to score and Man City to win at 6/4 with Paddy Power
Manchester City to score Over 2.5 goals
If City needs a good omen, they need look no further than last season’s match against Fulham at the Etihad to provide it.
The Light Blues won 5-1. Erling Haaland bagged a hat-trick. He was joined on the scoresheet by Nathan Ake and Julian Alvarez.
At home this season, City have scored two or more in their three Premier League matches. Fulham have conceded in five of their six matches in the top flight this season.
Furthermore, Phil Foden was introduced from the bench in the Champions League in midweek and scored and assisted in his short time on the pitch.
Pep seems to have been holding one of last season’s standout players back. Is the Spaniard set to let Foden loose this weekend and give him his first start?
If he does, Fulham could be in for an even harder afternoon than they already expected.
Choose Manchester City to score over 2.5 goals at 10/11 with Paddy Power
Erling Haaland to score 2+ goals
Erling Haaland already has ten goals in six Premier League matches this season.
He has suffered a bit of a mini-drought in recent matches. Haaland only managed one against Arsenal, drew a blank against Newcastle, and he only found the net once in his 60-minute run out against Slovan Bratislava.
All joking aside, that’s still two goals in three matches. But based on how the big Norwegian started the season, it’s a bit of a barren run of form.
To find the net twice or more in a home game against Fulham, Haaland is 13/5. We think he is due to fill his boots again.
If you’re feeling really confident in City’s record goalscorer, he is 9/1 to repeat last season’s performance against the Cottagers and score a hat-trick.
We’re happy to go with 2 or more.
