Ruud van Nistelrooy has left Manchester United, the club have confirmed.
The former striker returned to Old Trafford in the summer as an assistant to Erik ten Hag.
He later became interim manager following his compatriot’s departure last month.
However, despite not losing any of his four matches in charge, Van Nistelrooy will not be part of Ruben Amorim’s coaching team.
The Portuguese travelled to the UK on Monday and was later pictured at the club’s training base at Carrington.
United announced Van Nistelrooy’s exit in a statement reading: “Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club.
“Ruud rejoined in the summer and has taken charge of the team for the past four matches as interim head coach.
“Ruud is, and always will be, a Manchester United legend.
“We are grateful for his contribution and the way in which he has approached his role throughout his time with the club. He will always be very welcome at Old Trafford.”
Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel have also left the club alongside Van Nistelrooy.
Meanwhile, Amorim’s coaching team has yet to be confirmed by the Red Devils.
Van Nistelrooy had signed a two-year deal in July after returning to United 19 years after leaving as a player.

He then guided his side to three wins and a draw in four matches as interim boss, including Sunday’s victory over Leicester.
The 48-year-old now departs, though, ahead of Amorim’s arrival during the international break.
United’s new gaffer is expected to take his first training session next week after leaving Sporting.
His first match will come away to Ipswich at Portman Road on November 24.
