Crystal Palace were really struggling at the start of this season but went on an impressive unbeaten streak that has seen them not only come out of a relegation battle but right amongst the mid-table.
Just two points above Man United sit in 12th but do have two wins in their last three, just as Palace have.
Palace have a small upper hand in the sense that they didn’t have to travel for European football on Thursday evening and remain fresh for this clash.
Man United narrowly won over Fulham last Sunday having faced Rangers a few days before.
But a 3-1 loss to Brighton two weeks ago has seen the pressure ramp up in terms of their league position.
The worst ever finish for the Red Devils came last season when they ended up eighth.
But given the season so far they are in danger of beating their own record in that regard, with Palace a tough side to face at the moment.

Amad Diallo has been a standout player for United this season and one of the few saving graces of the season in a year of changes and prospective shake ups.
He’s scored six and assisted six in just 21 appearances this season having only previously had highs of one of each goal involvement, when out of favour in the previous two terms.
The Ivorian forward is likely to be amongst the goals this weekend along with Palace’s standout player Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Ismaila Sarr has also been a significant improver while Eberechi Eze misses out on this clash due to a foot injury.
That gives Man United a big chance to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the mid-table sides.
