Fans believe Lisandro Martinez should have been sent off for Manchester United after his lunging two-footed tackle against Crystal Palace.
Shortly after the hour mark of the 0-0 draw, the centre-back challenged for the ball against Daichi Kamada on the edge of the Palace area.

Martinez jumped and aimed both of his feet towards the ball, with referee David Coote showing him a yellow card.
Although the United man won the ball and didn’t appear to make contact on Kamada, fans on social media fumed that he avoided an early bath.
Taking to X, one said: “No contact by Lisandro Martinez, but still a straight red for me.”
Another posted: “That should be a red card for Lisandro Martinez. Wild, dangerous, completely out of control.
“The intent was there to seriously hurt Kamada. He shouldn’t escape the red card just because he missed.”
A third added: “Sorry but if a player jumps in like Lisandro Martinez just did it should be an automatic red card, regardless of whether it connects and breaks the player’s leg or not.”
This user then messaged: “Lisandro Martinez should absolutely be given a red card for that tackle. Whether there was contact or not that’s endangering an opponent.”
Reacting to the tackle live on the GameDay Phone-In on talkSPORT, Jason Cundy said: “Going back to that Martinez double-footed tackle there, if he gets any contact…”
“Terrible tackle,” said his co-host Jamie O’Hara, with Cundy adding: “I’ve never seen any footballer ever in my life, professionally make a challenge like that, ever!
“The way he jumped up… It’s like stamping in a puddle. You know when kids stamp in a puddle with their wellies on, it’s like that!”
Fans believe it was a dangerous tackle even though he won the ballAFP
“It was a really stupid tackle,” O’Hara also said. “He got away with it, that’s for sure.”
The Premier League Match Centre confirmed that VAR checked the tackle when they said: “The referee issued a yellow card to Martinez for a challenge on Kamada. VAR checked for a potential red card and confirmed the referee’s call of no red card, deeming this was a reckless challenge and made no contact with Kamada.”
Palace and United eventually settled for a goalless draw at Selhurst Park, with both teams having their goalkeepers to thank.
Dean Henderson made a series of top saves for the hosts, with Andre Onana also pulling off an excellent double save for the visitors.
Palace sit 16th and remain winless in the league this season having drawn two and lost three of their opening five matches.
United are five spots above them in 11th and three points outside of the top four on seven.
