Keith Thurman flattened Brock Jarvis twice in a devastating KO win on his return.
Thurman was ending a three-year hiatus from the boxing ring, having not fought since his victory over Mario Barrios in 2022.

A former rival of Manny Pacquiao and Shawn Porter, Thurman was a betting favourite to beat Australian rival Jarvis down under in Sydney.
He hadn’t stopped a rival for ten years since facing and stopping Luis Collazo in 2015.
And he delivered perfectly on that tag, coming out of the traps at a frightening pace.
The third round provided his breakthrough as Jarvis was wobbled by a powerful barrage from the American.
He then flattened him with a crushing right hook, which sent Jarvis falling backwards and resting his head on to the rope.
Jarvis was able to just about beat the ten count, recovering and returning to his feet.
Thurman immediately went on the assault looking to close the show as soon as possible.
And he incredibly now landed a booming left hook after narrowly missing, which left Jarvis flattened on the canvas for a second time.
He took the same position as the referee stood over him and this time he was unable to continue.
The referee waved off the contest and Thurman climbed the ropes celebrating on foreign soil, with a stunned silence in the arena.

Thurman will now look to launch a full comeback and could well look to push for 147lbs world titles again.
