Maroons registered a comfortable win over Mbarara City FC as the two teams faced off at Kakyeka Stadium on Thursday evening.

The Prison Warders earned a 3-0 win over the Ankole Lions thanks to a brace from Baden Mujahid Ogama and substitute Godwin Kitagenda.

Ogama fired the visitors into an early lead, scoring three minutes after kickoff and this set the tone for Maroons FC to play the entire game with confidence.

He scored his second on the day and fifth of the campaign in the 52nd minute, capitalizing on a mistake by goalkeeper Abdu Kimera.

Kitagenda who replaced Rukundo in the 61st minute got the third goal for Maroons FC four minutes later to put the icing on the cake.

The win lifts Maroons FC up to seventh place on 16 points while Mbarara City remain 11th on 12 points.
