Maroons FC recovered from their humiliating defeat to KCCA FC last week to overcome Maroons FC on Saturday in Luzira.
The Prison Warders lost 5-0 to KCCA FC in their previous outing but made quick amends to secure a 2-1 win over the Tax Collectors.
Baden Mujahid Ogama and Brian Omirambe scored a goal in each for Maroons while URA FC for their consolation through Simon Tamale’s own goal.
URA FC undoing this season has been inconsistent and it was at play yet again on Saturday.
Alex Isabirye’s charges who had defeated Kitara FC last Friday conceded an early goal today, just two minutes after kickoff.
Ogama played a quick interplay with Abel Eturude who released him before the former slotted the ball past goalkeeper Abdu Magada.
Omirambe doubled the advantage for the home side a minute after the hour mark, converting from the spot when Faizo Mato held the ball in the box.
Three minutes later, Maroons goalkeeper Tamale in attempt to parry the ball away directed into his own net to give URA FC gopes of a comeback.
Maroons however held on to secure maximum points and move to 11th place on nine points while URA FC remain 9th on the table with 11 points.
