- Netball: Musale Ssejja 9-4 Ssabagabo Nairambi
The 2025 Mbuubi cup at Magyo playgrounds on Buvuma Island witnessed action in football and netball.
The official climax which was witnessed by the Buganda Kingdom minister of sports, youth and arts Oweek. Robert Serwanga Ssalongo was held on Saturday, 22nd February 2025.
Ssabagabo Nairambi and Musale Ssejja triumphed in the football and netball events respectively.

A tense post match penalty victory decided the Ssabagabo Nairambi and Musale Ssejja contest.
After a goal-less stalemate in normal time, Ssabagabo Nairambi won 6-5 in the shoot-out.
For the netball finale, Mumyuka Ssejja defeated Ssabagabo Nairambi 9-4.
The chief guest Oweek. Serwanga lauded the organizers as well as participants.
Oweek Serwanga is hopeful that some of the participants will take part in the upcoming Buganda Schools Competitions commencing 10th March, Bika Byabaganda as well as Masaza Cup tournament.
I would like to thank Mbuubi and the organizers for making this a success. I believe some of these participants will been seen in the Masaza Cup, Buganda Schools Competitions, and Bika Byabaganda football tournaments.

The Ggombolola Competitions are held across the 18 Masaza of Buganda from 19th January to 30th March, as a part of the celebrations for the Kabaka’s 70th birthday, with each localized Cup named after the official title of the Ssaza chief.
In Buganda Kingdom, a cross section of sporting disciplines are organizing ranging from the out-door ones as football, netball, volleyball, athletics (Kabaka Birthday run), golf, rugby, Kigo ekiganda (traditional wrestling), cycling, handball to the indoor games like Squash, chess, ludo, draughts and omweso, among others.
