The Champions League returns this midweek for the first legs of the Round of 16 clashes, with several intriguing ties take place on Wednesday night.

1. Harry Kane to score against Bayer Leverkusen (Wed, 8pm)
After winning both the Bundesliga and Champions League Golden Boot in his first season at Bayern Munich, Harry Kane looks set to retain his crown this season with 21 league goals in 22 games, five more than any of his competitors, as well as seven goals in nine Champions League games, only three less than current top goalscorer Serhou Guirassy.
The England number nine has scored seven goals in nine Bundesliga games since the turn of the year for a Bayern Munich side that has more goals than any other team in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
2. Mohamed Salah to score against PSG (Wed, 8pm)
No player has more goals in any of Europe’s top five leagues than Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah’s 25. The Egyptian continues to reach new heights having scored in seven of his last eight games taking his total tally to 30 goals in all competitions.
The Ballon d’Or front runner has seven goal contributions in seven Champions League games this season including two goals in his last two games.
3. Robert Lewandowski to score against Benfica (Wed, 8pm)
Rest assured Benfica do not enjoy the sight of Robert Lewandowski, with the Barcelona forward scoring nine goals in his last five games against the Portuguese side.
However, they shouldn’t take it personally as only Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy has scored more goals than Lewandowski in the Champions League with nine goals, including four braces, in only eight games thus far this season.
The Polish international currently also sits as top scorer in La Liga with 21 goals and with five goals in his last six games the Barcelona number nine doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon.
