In preparation for the 2025 Buganda Masaza football championship, the management committee for Buvuma Ssaza has named the technical docket for the team.
Juma Miburo is the head coach of the team for the upcoming season.
He will work alongside Denise Watuke as first assistant coach (trainer) and Amis Komba (goalkeeping coach).
“I am excited for the responsibility bestowed upon me and my working team at Buvuma Ssaza. We yearn to get started and assemble a formidable strong and competitive team” Miburo affirmed in an interview with Kawowo Sports Media.
Miburo is one of the coaches at Uganda Premier League entity Mbale Heroes Football Club, known for his great man-management skills and preacher of romantic football philosophy.
His immediate assistant Watuke is currently at Bwondha Victoria in the Eastern regional league whilst Komba the goalkeeping trainer is a former Tanzania goalkeeper now working with Busia Young Stars Football Club.
The coaches have already met with the Buvuma Ssaza board and only await to officially commence their official duties at hand.
Buvuma has never won the Buganda Masaza Cup; and therefore the primary task for Miburo and the backroom staff to break the jinx.
The 2025 season in the Buganda Masaza football cup will officially commence in July.
The championship is sponsored by telecommunications company Airtel Uganda, centenary bank, Buganda land board, pilsner and a host of other partners.
Buddu Ssaza is the reigning champion.
