Mike Tyson shoved a screwdriver through David Blaine’s arm during a jaw-dropping performance in Las Vegas.

The famous magician, mentalist and endurance artist is known for his dangerous stunts.

In 2008, he held his breath underwater for a staggering 17 minutes and 4.4 seconds – thus breaking the Guinness World Record for oxygen-assisted static apnea (breathing pure oxygen before attempting to hold one’s breath for as long as possible).

His other harrowing feats include being buried alive for 7 days, getting electrocuted while standing on top of a pole and going 44 days without eating.

Despite nearing his 52nd birthday Blaine has shown no signs of slowing down and recently performed one of his most gruesome tricks to date with the help of former undisputed heavyweight champion, Tyson.

‘Iron Mike’ was in attendance at one of Blaine’s breath-taking shows in Vegas with his son Amir and both of them were invited on the stage by the famous magician.

“My hero growing up, Mike Tyson,” said Blaine. “I remember when I was 13 years old, 14 years old, I used to print his face on my t-shirts all the time.

“It’s true Mike. And I met him when I was a teenager and Mike has always been not just a dear friend but he changed my mind about success and everything.

“And here’s what he said to me, I was sitting in his limo. I was a kid doing card tricks and he didn’t know me from a hole in the wall but he was just so gracious and I told him I wanted to be a magician.

“And he said ‘Let me tell you something, I wasn’t supposed to be the heavyweight champion of the world, I wasn’t tall enough, I don’t have a big reach, but I have nothing to lose and when you have nothing to lose you have everything to gain’.

“So I’m gonna ask both of you to come join me on stage, is that alright?”

Tyson replied with a wide grin on his face: “Oh, I want to be on stage with you, yeah.”

That smile quickly turned into a grimace when Tyson realised that he was going to be tasked with sticking a ‘very sharp’ screwdriver through Blaine’s arm.

Tyson gagged and had to start over when he first attempted to pierce Blaine’s skin.

And when he eventually plucked up the courage to give it another go he had to look away while the screwdriver appeared to go through Blaine’s bicep.

Tyson struggled to force the screwdriver through the other side of Blaine’s arm so his son Amir helped him feed it through.

The audience groaned and shrieked as the tool emerged from his skin, while Tyson and Amir stepped back in disgust.

It appears the grisly act was nothing more than an illusion as there wasn’t any blood spurting from Blaine’s arm after he was stabbed, however, it’s hard not to wince when watching the video.

After the performance, Tyson said: “Tonight was great with David Blaine, but I’ve seen him do some card tricks on the streets of New York City that will boggle your mind.

“You would not believe what he did. I still can’t believe he doesn’t do it anymore because it will blow your mind.”

Clearly, Tyson would have preferred to help out with a card trick instead.
