Mike Tyson has highlighted one key difference between himself and Jake Paul in a chilling comparison.

58-year-old Tyson takes on the Youtuber-turned-professional boxer Paul in a heavyweight bout on November 15th.

The fight was originally scheduled to take place on July 20, but subsequently postponed after Tyson suffered from an ulcer flare-up.

The event will be broadcast live on Netflix from the AT&T Stadium in Texas as Paul looks to continue his boxing endeavour with a victory over the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’.

Netflix, alongside Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), dropped the official trailer for Countdown: Paul vs Tyson on Thursday.

The three-part documentary series offers intimate access to both Paul and Tyson as they prepare for their highly anticipated mega-event.

Speaking on the official trailer, Tyson compared himself to Paul in a way that would make anyone’s spine tingle.

“I won’t do anything if I don’t risk being embarrassed,” Tyson said. “Like now, I want to fight this young m*****f*****.”

A clip also shows Tyson reacting to Paul’s original callout of the former WBA, WBC and IBF champion when he said: “Mike, I love you, but I’m gonna take your throne, brother.”

Tyson simply responded by saying: “He’s a manufactured killer. I’m a natural-born killer.”

“Hard work defines me,” Tyson added. “I look at myself as a liberator. I created guys like Jake Paul.”

Paul vs Tyson has been sanctioned as a professional heavyweight contest by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

However, they will compete under a modified rule set.

Both men are set to box for eight two-minute rounds, which is the same length as amateur bouts, rather than the typical three-minute rounds that professionals compete over.

They will also trade blows in 14oz gloves instead of the traditional 10oz mitts.

It is unclear why Paul and Tyson will exchange leather in larger gloves, but the latter has said he requested that the rounds be shortened to produce ‘more action’.

Paul last appeared in the ring against Mike Perry on July 20, following the collapse of his bout with Tyson.

‘The Problem Child’ won the fight via a TKO after six rounds against the former UFC fighter.

He also has notable wins against Tyron Woodley in 2021, but lost his first professional boxing match to Tommy Fury in 2023.
