Monday racing tips
- Plumpton
1.45: Lumi Plugin 11/4 (1pt)
2.45: Bentley’s Return 4/1 (1pt)
3.45: Invincible Nao 9/2 each-way (1pt)
4.15: Non Stop 15/8 (1pt) - Catterick
3.00: Haarar 15/8 (1pt)
Lumi Plugin
Shown promise over hurdles that are much better runs all things considered than his current mark.
He proved he’s got potential placing second by a neck at Leicester just a couple of weeks ago and should be even better on the step up in trip.
He’s placed 2nd at 2m3f and 2m5f and his pedigree suggests that he should be even better at this trip, holding strong in the market and an attractive price.
Bentley’s Return
Not with it last time out but down a total of 3lb since placing second behind Theonlywayiswessex.
Instead of giving away 7lb to that horse like then, he’s being given 6lb for a huge swing in the weights in his favour.
Cheekpieces come back on and can continue his progress over fences at the third attempt.
Invincible Nao
Great race this and last year it was ran in January, won by Dom Of Mary.
He won it by ten lengths and was upped a total of 9lb as a result.
The nine-year-old proved it was no fluke as he then placed a solid third place at Sandown a month later.
He’s not quite been with it since placing far back at Cheltenham before pulling up at Ascot on return, also on his first trip after a wind op in July.
Despite the win in this tough 3m4f contest last year he’s 11/1 and drifting as he’s up against some promising stayers.
Unanswered Prayers is a solid confirmed stayer too with placed efforts in each of his last three including a win at 3m3f.
Invincible Nao won last time out here over 3m1f just two weeks ago on a step down in class.
That was his first run over anything above 2m5f and it’s clearly an agreeable distance, as he won very well.
Very likely to step up to this as he’s shown solid form before in Class 3 company.
Non Stop
An Bradan Feasa was rated as high as 127 when winning at Cheltenham in December 2023, but that was his last victory and has gone right down the weights since.
He makes his chase debut at what could be a very dangerous weight but that said, he’s been that below par he’s tough to back.
Non Stop’s hurdle form has worked out very nicely and has the experience chasing over the others – but he never really set the chasing to light in his four starts last season.
Though he makes much more of an appeal than the rest of his rivals and has a great chance with the form he’s in.
Haarar
Solid second behind Golden Maverick last week as he placed just by a neck.
It’s All About You has drifted into around 7/2 now while Haarar has come in below 2/1.
He’s carrying the same weight as last time out which is encouraging while he could make the most of carrying the lowest weight of the field here.
