Kavumba Recreation Ground 4pm
Soltilo Bright Stars coach Joseph Mutyaba has called on his boys to avoid a slow start when they take on Mbarara City at Kavumba on Wednesday.
The soft-spoken gaffer believes starting very slow is one of the reasons his side remain winless in the season so far and also wants a good mental frame on the day.
“We start slow and that has affected us in all games,” he told the media. “But is something we have tried to work on and hopefully, the boys react well,” he added.
“Secondly, the psychology of the lads must be top notch because mentally, they are being affected by the elusive win but the technical staff has worked on this as well. Physically, we are okay but we lack some mental toughness.”
The Stars find themselves bottom of the log with 3 points and face a side that hasn’t lost since match day one when they recklessly lost 4-2 to champions SC Villa.
Mbarara City are in decent form on the road with a draw at URA and win at BUL and with 6 points, they occupy 10th position.
In the last 12 league meetings, the hosts hold edge with 4 wins against 3 and five draws.
Last season’s two meetings ended in 1-1 draws home and away.
