The Premier League takes a break this weekend to make way for the fifth round of the FA Cup.
We have previewed five of the games taking place on Saturday and Sunday, including those involving Manchester City and Manchester United.
A £10 wager on our three-leg acca would pay out £42, while the same stake on our five-leg version offers a potential return of £110.
Manchester United vs Fulham: Fulham to qualify (19/20)
Manchester United were victorious in the midweek round of Premier League fixtures, edging out Ipswich Town 3-2 at Old Trafford, but it was another worrying performance from Ruben Amorim’s side.
United can still win two trophies this term, but it is hard to see them going all the way in either the FA Cup or Europa League the way they are playing.
They might not even make it beyond the fifth round of this competition. United face a Fulham side that is nine points above them in the league – and deservedly so.
It is hard to shake the feeling that if you swapped the names of the clubs around, Fulham would be clear favourites to triumph here.
They might not get the job done in 90 minutes, but Fulham have what it takes to come out on top one way or another.
Choose Fulham to qualify at 19/20 with bet365
Bournemouth vs Wolves: Both teams to score (8/13)
Wolves have opened up a five-point buffer above the Premier League drop zone of late.
That has given them some welcome breathing space and will potentially allow them to take the FA Cup more seriously than they might have done had they still been in the bottom three.
Bournemouth have gone off the boil slightly in recent weeks. Several players have been out injured and Andoni Iraola’s high-octane style of play has arguably had an effect on player freshness at this stage of the campaign.
Bournemouth have lost three of their last four in the league, and have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven.
For all their problems this term, Wolves carry a threat going forward. A defensive shut-out is likely to be beyond both teams here.
Go for both teams to score at 8/13 with bet365
Crystal Palace vs Millwall: Crystal Palace to win (1/3)
A south London derby kicks off Saturday’s FA Cup action as Millwall visit Selhurst Park for the first time since 2012. The Lions got a draw on that occasion, but it is difficult to see a repeat in this one.
Palace’s best two performances of the whole season arguably came in the last week. They barely gave Fulham a sniff in a 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage on Saturday, before thumping Aston Villa 4-1 three days later.
Palace had a shaky start to 2024/25, but over the last three months they have been the top flight’s third-best performers behind only Liverpool and Arsenal.
Millwall will give this as good as they have got, but they are likely to come unstuck against Oliver Glasner’s in-form charges. A home victory is the way to go.

Manchester City vs Plymouth Argyle: Manchester City to win both halves (4/6)
Manchester City were involved in a game of two halves on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s crew were in cruise control in the opening 45 minutes of their clash with Tottenham Hotspur. Erling Haaland gave them an early lead and City continued to create chances thereafter.
Yet Tottenham forced their opponents onto the back foot in the second period. City held on for a win, but Spurs deserved a point given their fightback.
Guardiola’s team have a more straightforward assignment in front of them this weekend. True, Plymouth did stun Liverpool in the previous round, but that was at Home Park. A trip to the Etihad Stadium is a sterner examination, even with City far from their best.
This should be a comfortable victory for last year’s FA Cup runners-up, who are the bookies’ favourites to lift the trophy this time around.
Tip Manchester City to win both halves at 4/6 with bet365
Newcastle United vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Over 2.5 goals (4/7)
Newcastle United were outplayed by Liverpool in a 2-0 loss on Wednesday. Eddie Howe’s charges are chasing a top-five finish in the Premier League, but many of the club’s supporters would rather see them win a trophy.
Newcastle will face Liverpool again in the EFL Cup final next month, but do not rule them out in the FA Cup either.
Having said that, Brighton & Hove Albion will also fancy their chances of going all the way. That makes this fifth-round tie hard to call.
Whoever ultimately emerges triumphant, we should see an entertaining encounter at St James’ Park. We expect at least three goals in this match.
Select over 2.5 goals at 4/7 with bet365
