We have another round of Premier League action to look forward to before the March international break.

We have previewed five of the eight top-flight games taking place on Saturday and Sunday, including a huge London derby at the Emirates Stadium.

A £10 wager on our three-leg acca would pay out £51.55, while the same stake on our five-leg version offers a potential return of £169.97.

Arsenal vs Chelsea: Under 2.5 goals (10/11)

A 1-1 draw with Manchester United last weekend marked the end of Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge. Fifteen points adrift of top spot, the Gunners will have to settle for Champions League qualification this term.

They are not yet over the line in that regard, but it would be a surprise if Arsenal dropped out of the top five. Chelsea’s fate is much more in the balance after a downturn in results and performances over the last three months.

Neither team is firing on all cylinders at the moment and there are some similarities between their struggles.

The absence of an out-and-out striker is harming the two teams’ output, while Arsenal and Chelsea have both looked short of guile and creativity in the final third despite their domination of possession.

With that in mind, plus the fact that signs of fatigue are creeping in at both clubs, this could be a low-scoring affair.

Leicester City vs Manchester United: Manchester United to win (4/5)

Ruud van Nistelrooy has won the same number of Premier League games in charge of Manchester United as Leicester City this season.

The Dutchman inherited a tricky situation at the King Power Stadium but Leicester have gone backwards on his watch. It would take a monumental effort, similar to their great escape in 2014/15, for the Foxes to get out of trouble from here.

United are also enduring a poor campaign and a first bottom-half finish of the Premier League era is very much on the cards.

Ruben Amorim’s team still looks unsuited to his 3-4-3 formation, but United’s superior talent should win the day against a Leicester side whose confidence must be on the floor right now.

Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Both teams to score (1/2)

The title race is over and the relegation battle could soon be settled too. At least we have a fascinating tussle for the Champions League places to look forward to over the next couple of months.

Manchester City are still a shadow of their former selves. They were ineffectual in a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest last time out and they now face another stern examination at home to Brighton.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side have been a little streaky this season, but they have been largely excellent over the last few weeks, winning six games on the bounce in all competitions.

Only Liverpool have scored in more top-flight games than Brighton, who pack a powerful punch in attack. Their depth up top is the envy of clubs with far bigger budgets.

Brighton will cause City problems here, but while Guardiola’s men will struggle to keep their opponents out, the same is true the other way around.

Ipswich Town vs Nottingham Forest: Forest over 1.5 goals (10/11)

Ipswich Town did brilliantly to rise from League One to the Premier League in the space of two seasons. Of last term’s promoted trio, they have been the most competitive.

Still, Ipswich are really up against it in their bid to finish above the dreaded dotted line. A 1-0 reverse against Crystal Palace last weekend left them six points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers in 17th.

Forest know a thing or two about relegation battles, but they have their sights set much higher this time around. Nuno Espirito Santo’s charges have 10 games left to hold on to a top-five place.

Forest’s away form has taken a hit of late, but their counter-attacking prowess makes them a real threat at opposition grounds, as they showed in a 4-3 loss to Newcastle United last month.

Ipswich, meanwhile, have the third-worst defensive record in the division.

Bournemouth vs Brentford: Under 3.5 goals (8/11)

Along with Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth have been one of the stories of this Premier League season.

Andoni Iraola’s vibrant, vertical side were unfortunate to only draw 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday, but they are still well positioned in their bid to qualify for Europe.

With an emphasis on pressing high and getting the ball forward quickly, Bournemouth are a fun team to watch.

Yet their home games tend to feature relatively few goals, a fact which will surprise many. Premier League matches at the Vitality Stadium in 2024/25 have seen an average of 2.01 goals per game, the lowest figure in the division.
