NCBA The Longe Mug of Mugs (December 2024):

- Winner: Christopher Magezi – 285
- Runners up: Denis Katalihwa – 286
- 2nd Runners up: Allan Akira – 290
The NCBA Longe mug of mugs golf tournament successfully climaxed at MaryLouise Simkins memorial club in Namulonge on Saturday, 21st December 2024.
Christopher Magezi beat Denis Katalihwa in nail-biting fashion to top the order of merit.
Magezi scored 285 points, one better than Katalihwa as Allan Akira finished third with 290 points.
Outstanding performers on final round:
Brian Ahimbisibwe, playing off handicap 6 emerged top with 66 nett to champion group A.
Collins Bulafu (handicap 3) beat fellow handicap 3 golfer Timothy Lwanga on count-back after both golfers had scored 73 nett.
In group B, Alex Mango (handicap 17) scored 66 nett to win on countback over Kenneth Baija (handicap 13).
Herbert Musinguzi, handicap 16 also scored 66 nett.
For men group C, Isaac Kyoyagala (handicap 20) won on countback with 73 nett over David Muheirwe (handicap 25).
Henry Baguma (handicap 24) scored 74 to finish third.
Ladies:
In the ladies’ category, Esther Aganyira, playing off handicap 23 was group A winner with 74 nett.
Handicap 17 player Ruth Akello beat Faith Namara (handicap 9) on countback for second place after both golfers had scored 77 nett.
The best senior (above 55 years) was Arnold Katwesigye. Katwesigye, playing off handicap 17 scored 64 nett.
Side-bets:
Left handed Gloria Mbaguta and Timothy C. Lwanga swung longest whilst Ruth Akello and Collins Bulafu were rewarded for the nearest to the pin chip.
The two smartest players on the course were Louis Luyima and Monica Nyakaisiki.
The smartest during the 19th hole experience were Boses Muhinda and Olivia Nakuya.
Over 120 golfers engaged in the final round.
