NEC FC returned to winning ways on Friday after overcoming Maroons FC at Phillip Omondi Stadium. The Soldier Boys needed to come from a goal down to edge the Prison Warders 2-1.
It should be noted NEC FC lost 2-1 to Express FC in their last outing before the international break.
Today, the army side went a goal down four minutes after the break with former Maroons FC defender Jacob Ocao scoring into his net.
The lead for the visitors lasted only nine minutes with Paul Mucureezi finding the equalizer.
With 17 minutes to fulltime, veteran midfielder and also former Maroons player Muzamiru Mutyaba getting the winner for the hosts.
The result takes NEC FC top of the table on 12 points while Maroons drop to 12th place on five points.
