NEC, URA and Wakiso Giants cant afford to blink

Second placed NEC make a long trip to Mbale to face hosts Heroes needing victory to keep within a point of first round champions Vipers.

The Bugolobi based side have enjoyed a good first round and can’t afford to drop off especially after Vipers 1-0 win over Maroons that confirmed their status as number one after fifteen matches.

Mbale Heroes, bottom of the log will hope to win again and improve their positioning on the table.

For now, they are on nine points, five adrift of safety positions.

Another side that must not blink is Wakiso Giants who are looking to win their first league match in 12 outings.

The Purple Sharks, three points off safety positions travel to Lugazi to face BUL who are on a seven-match winless run as well.

In the late kick off at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo, URA host Police aiming to return to winning ways after a bitter 1-0 defeat to SC Villa.

The two sides are separated by three points with URA in 6th place with 21 points while the Cops are behind in 10th position with 18 points.

Elsewhere, Villa travel to Butema to face Kitara while KCCA take on Mbarara City away at Kakyeka.
