NEC vs UPDF – 7pm
Police vs Soltilo Bright Stars – 4pm
NEC will be desperate to maintain their perfect start to the season when they host UPDF at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Tuesday as match day three of the UPL starts.
The hosts come into the game on the back of huge wins over Vipers and Kitara and remain favourites against the Bombo based side who are on four points after a win and draw.
Hussein Mbalangu expects a different challenge versus the army side who share nearly the same bosses.
“The past wins have energized us and we want to carry the same momentum against UPDF,” said Mbalangu. “We want to win and maintain the good start we have had,” he added.
NEC could be without Allan Mugalu, Paul Mucureezi and Joseph Dhata who are injured but they still have enough quality in their squad to beat any side.
UPDF have also made a good start to the campaign after last season’s struggles and have a chance to topple NEC from the summit if they win.
Hassan Zzinda, Samuel Ssekamatte and Samson Kigozi will be crucial for the Bombo based side at the front with skipper Bernard Muwanga keeping things tight at the back.
