Newcastle United vs Manchester United predictions
Newcastle United fans are having the time of their lives at the moment.
Fresh from their Carabao Cup win over Liverpool, it has just been announced that the Premier League will be getting an extra-place in the Champions League next season, right at the time their team sits in the extra qualifying position.
Yes, Newcastle started Matchday 32 in fifth place with 53 points from 30 matches. The Toon have won 16, drawn five and lost nine. Furthermore, they have a game in hand on all of their rivals for a place in the top five.
Since their Carabao Cup win over Liverpool, Newcastle have picked up six points from six in the Premier League. A 2-1 win over Brentford at St. James’ Park on Matchday 30 was followed by a 3-0 win over the hapless Leicester City on Monday.
Two goals from Jacob Murphy and one from Leicester old boy Harvey Barnes sealed a comfortable win.
Manchester United are not doing so well. The Red Devils have just 38 points from their 31 matches. They have won ten, drawn eight and lost 13.
The league season is over, 13th is probably as high as the Red Devils can achieve. But they are still going strong in the Europa League.
On Thursday they secured a 2-2 draw away to Lyon in the first leg of their quarter-final.
It could have been better had the Red Devils not conceded a sloppy goal in the 95th minute. Under fire keeper, André Onana will have to carry the can for Rayan Cherki’s priceless equaliser.
Regardless of Onana’s latest clanger, head coach Amorim would probably have settled for a draw away from home had he been offered it prematch.
The Red Devils can’t let that error distract them from the fact they are in a strong position ahead of Thursday’s second leg at Old Trafford.

So with the Red Devils having one eye on Thursday’s Europa League second leg against Lyon, a bet on Newcastle to win and a couple of goals in the match looks like the way to go.
Tip – Back Newcastle to win and over 1.5 goals at 17/20 with Copybet
Alexander Isak to score anytime
Sweden’s Alexander Isak is having an outstanding season and has firmly established himself as the latest darling of the Toon Army.
Isak has 20 goals and five assists from his 27 Premier League appearances. More recently, he has scored three goals in his last two matches at St. James’ Park.
On Monday, Eddie Howe was afforded the luxury of taking Isak off after 72 minutes in the 3-0 win over Leicester.
Fully refreshed and ready to go, Isak is worth backing to find the net again on his home turf.
Tip – Back Alexander Isak to score anytime against the Red Devils at 3/4 with NetBet
Jacob Murphy to score or assist
Jacob Murphy is having a great season for the Toon.
The winger has scored seven goals and provided seven assists for Newcastle in the Premier League this term.
Murphy has also scored one and provided two assists in his four Carabao Cup appearances for the Magpies, including an invaluable assist in the 2-1 win over Liverpool in the final.
The cup final assist has been followed by two goals and one assist in his next two Premier League matches. Murphy is in great form, and a good value bet to continue it against the Red Devils.
Tip – Back Jacob Murphy to score or assist at 19/20 with Parimatch
