Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) to beat Cleveland Browns (1-5)

The Cincinnati Bengals will be disappointed with their record of 2-4 this season, and head to Cleveland knowing they must secure a win against an awful Browns side.

The Bengals are still a Super Bowl calibre side on paper, and have been late starters in previous seasons. Quarterback Joe Burrow and Wide Receiver Jamarr Chase are among the very best at their respective positions and can be the difference in ensuring a victory.

Cleveland have been a dreadful watch in the 2024 season and decided to move on their best receiver in Amari Cooper in a trade this week. They are sticking with Deshaun Watson at quarterback despite his terrible form and there does not appear to be a magical fix out there to sort the offence.

Sean’s Top Tip: Bengals -5.5 points handicap 10/11

Buffalo Bills (4-2) to beat Tennessee Titans (1-4)

Buffalo outlasted the New York Jets last week to improve their record to 4-2. Buffalo were ill-disciplined and mistake prone but still managed to secure a win. Head Coach Sean McDermott has demanded improvement going forward and we will likely see a better version of the Bills on Sunday.

Their opponents this week are the Tennessee Titans who were poor in their loss to the Colts. Will Levis is struggling as the Titans signal caller and many are questioning whether the Titans brass could have an eye on the 2025 draft and a potential replacement. Levis has only gone over 200 yards once this year and has thrown a league high seven interceptions.

Buffalo are one of the best home teams in the NFL and are 10-3 in their last 13 competitive games. Tennessee have shown little this season to indicate they will be able to cause the Bills issues.

Sean’s Top Tip: Half Time/Full Time – Buffalo Bills/Buffalo Bills 8/15.

Indianapolis Colts (3-3) to beat Miami Dolphins (2-3)

The Colts are off the back of a road victory in Tennessee last week and should be confident in taking down a Dolphins side who are struggling to score points.

Miami have sorely missed Quarterback Tua Tagovailova since he went down in week two with a concussion. Neither of his replacements in Skylar Thompson or Tyler Huntley have managed to throw a touchdown since they have taken the reigns, and the team haven’t scored over 15 points since week one.

A huge boost for the Colts will be the return of their stalwart running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has been excellent before getting injured. If the Colts can lean on their running game they will be able to control the scoreboard and force the Dolphins to play catch up, something they currently look unable to do.

Sean’s Top Tip: Under Points 43.5 10/11

Detroit Lions (4-1) to beat Minnesota Vikings (5-0)

The pick of the early slate of games is clearly the undefeated Vikings hosting their divisional rival Lions. Both teams have been excellent this season and the winners will take a huge stride in taking the NFC North crown.

Detroit are seen as the underdogs by the market at 1/1, however it looks a real coin flip game on paper.

The Lions destroyed the Cowboys in Dallas last week 47-9 and are arguably the most complete team in the NFL. While the loss of their elite edge rusher Aiden Hutchinson is sure to hurt their ability on defence, on offence the team is performing at an exceptional level. They rank first for points per game and have a duo of bruising running backs in Montgomery and Gibbs.

The Vikings have been great in their own right and will be prepared after coming off their bye week. Feels like a game that goes down to a field goal, and will give the edge to the Lions.

Sean’s top tip:  Lions +3.5 match handicap 3/5
