Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBose suffered a scary head injury on Sunday.
The 23-year-old went down early in the third quarter after a helmet-to-helmet collision with Houston Texans safety Calen Bullock.
DuBose was attended to by medical staff and the game was stopped for 12 minutes.
He was then carted off the field as other NFL stars were seen gathering to pray for him.
Staff were forced to cut off DuBose’s jersey and unscrew his facemask to treat him on the ground, before putting him in a neck brace.
The Texans were leading the Dolphins 20-6 in the third quarter when the incident happened.
Miami provided an update on the status of DuBose later in the third quarter.
“Dolphins WR Grant DuBose has been ruled out with a head injury,” the team wrote on X.
“He is in stable condition and being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.”
